[scrm-wg] Notes from Cloud Standards Coordination/SCRM Meeting

SCIM - working group met for first time.
Software Defined Networks (BOF in Paris) proposals to be moved into 
research group. The research group met in Vancouver. First meeting was 
around OpenFlow - explained and presented as a way to implement SDNs. 
Too early to say whether OpenFlow is the only solution. ONF is a related 
organization.

ETSI is working on E2NA - looking at end to end network architectures. 
Included in terms of reference - some cloud items.

ITU-T SG17 met in Geneva - high priority item was to discuss role in 
cloud work. Also JCA Cloud coordination. They have a Cloud Computing 
Security Framework - but activity has been put off until next year 
because of an every-four-years meeting that will determine which groups 
will get the "cloud turf".

Mark talked about the new CAMP spec for PaaS Management, being submitted 
to OASIS for a new TC. Mark will create a wiki entry for the new effort.

CIMI version 1.0 was released as a final DMTF standard along with a Primer.

OGF published a number of new standards including firewall traversal 
FITT, data format description language (Daffoldil), and others.

The NIST SAJACC project is active again and is meeting bi-weekly. There 
are 22 agencies at various states of cloud adoption and can feed some of 
that work into refined use cases.

The NSF has funded a new center for cloud standards and autonomic 
computing. Alan will send a link to the list.

Reminder for everyone to update their entries on the SCRM wiki as well, 
since OGF will soon migrate that to a new infrastructure.
