Hi all,

Since Dave Sidor, chair of ITU-T NGN management Focus Group,
cannot make upcoming SCRM call on May 9th, Dave and I had a
separate one-to-one call on April 28.

We went over (1) NGN management FG's overview slides (Dave
kindly gave us short time ago, and (2) our latest spec summary
template (ver. 3.5).

Although, scope/target and goals/output are quite a bit different,
we found that the mechanism/process of both activities are
very similar.

Both SCRM and NGN management FG are collecting summary
of existing or emerging standards specifications (which are
developed by some other organization) utilizing common
template. Based on these summaries, gaps and overlaps are going
to be identified. Deliverables of the activities are landscape and/or
roadmap documents.

At this moment, Dave has 40 to 50 summaries and is writing up
annotated list of specifications named "NGN management roadmap."
Differently, his FG embraces some of proposed specs as ITU-T's
specification.

Given our activity has a role model, I'm feeling quietly confident
of our success.

Dave has the kindness to give us several summary sheets of
their key specifications and will join in our June call.

The call was very productive. Thanks Dave.
