0. IPR Issues, Agenda Bashing
-----------------------------

11:00: Andre opens the session, explains the IPR policy and circulates the
sign-up sheet.
The agenda is presented and agreed upon by the audience.

1. Status change from RG to WG "bit flipping"
---------------------------------------------

Andre reports from the meeting between the SAGA chairs and some GFSG members
from yesterday. Results are:
-- SAGA will bceome a working group (REALLY SOON NOW)
This comes with a new group charter.
-- We MUST submit the Requirement Doc before next GGF
-- We agreed to work closely with OGSA

2. Remaining 2 Use Case feedbacks
---------------------------------

Feedback from use cases # 5 and 6 (continuation from yesterday)

The current SAGA strawman was accepted by the use case authors.

3. Quick recap of GridRPC session (for those who missed it)
-----------------------------------------------------------

Andre recapitulates yesterday's meeting with the GridRPC group
We are looking for tight integration of SAGA and GridRPC w.r.t. API's.

4. API Strawman Discussion:
---------------------------

  - Document structure: To split or not to split is the Question?

The document seems to be too long and hard to digest.
The discussion lead to the consensus that the document should be left
"as is" (i.e., a single doc) as this is mostly intended as a reference
    document for implementors.
Shorter additional documents for users, like a "cookbook" need to be
    added.

  - Task Model
Andre presents the 6 considered alternatives
discussion, possibly with alternatives, MPI-biased people (Thilo)
and GridRPC people are not yet 100% happy

needs further elaboration via the mailing list

    trade-off between minimalistic and simple

we will code some examples in the most favoured flavours

  - Async Notification

possibly add callbacks, with (weak) semantics about WHEN they will be
    served
give polling calls (or equivalent) for apps that need to do things swiftly

we will have a draft for this

The meeting is closed at 12:30.
