Production Grid Services could work. A Production Grid would certainly
include User Services.

PGM-RG was formed to address issues moving from a research/development
grid to full production grid
as well as changes needed in a Production Grid as the grid technology
changes. User services was
always part of PGM, just that PGM was careful not to duplicate the work
that GUS was doing. PGM
overlaps to some extent with other groups on some level since the
concerns of PGM was to address
'pulling it all together' to create and grow a production grid.

I suggest we keep the PGM name since PGM best describes the function of
the merged groups. I am
not against a name change, but have not thought of a new name that
better covers the goals of
the merged groups.

A reference to the work started in GUS documents that are completed in
PGM should be noted.

It should include, but extend beyond, Operations. Operations implies the
processes
of keeping the grid up and running. Production Grid Management includes
the Operations, the User Services, Security, etc. as well as planning
for the
future (not the development itself, but plans for what will be needed,
etc.).

My second choice, but still does not indicate the group is focusing on
making this work in a production environment.

Too long.
