Folks,

I granted me some more playtime on GridForge. :-)

I am thinking about using the Task feature on GridForge to manage and track
assignments like action items. I think the great benefit is that you can
express dependencies, associate documents, trackers, file releases etc --
my impression is that on GridForge you can associate everything with
everything.

Moreover, people can manage the tasks that are assigned to them, report
progress etc.

Also, GridForge offers integrated automation and management, i.e. if you
log in on GridForge, you see a list of stuff you need to do that you signed
up for, and a lot more.

So I would like to remind everybody on the mailing list (and everybody ho
participated the phone calls) to get a GridForge membership if not done
already, and join the OGSA-DMI group!

Yes, the poison pill is that this way you can get assigned to tasks and
tracker artifacts. ;-)
But the good news is that this would make group management way easier --
and possibly frees up time on the phone calls for action item reviews (e.g.
in OGSA, action item review can take up to 30 minutes in one call...)

Cheers,
Michel
