[occi-wg] Meeting opportunities for OGF, collaborative opportunities at EGI community forum, and workshops at UCC 2015 7-10 Dec 2015 Cyprus

Hi,

As mentioned on the TAGPMA call today, as relayed by Jens, OGF will be planning various group meetings and has requested a workshop (possibly to be co-located with the AARC meeting) at the EGI Community Forum 10-12 November 2015 in Bari, Italy. Please note that this is the week immediately preceding Supercomputing 2015 in Austin, Texas, which might also be a useful time to exchange notes among members of the community.

In addition, it might be of interest to note the following workshops that are advertised to be part of the Utility and Cloud Computing 2015 conference 7-10 Dec 2015 in Cyprus.  Many of these touch on topics of mutual interest to communities of interest for distributed computing. It may be possible to organize a Cloud Plugfest between OGF and any other interested communities at one or more of these events. Please let us know if there are opportunities to meet elsewhere that you think would be useful to note. There events that may support one or more communities of interest to OGF include the XSEDE 2015 meeting at the end of July in St. Louis and the FAS* meetings in Boston in September 2015.

Personally I would like to concentrate on a few opportunities of interest that are likely to gather a critical mass of our community (e.g., the EGI meeting in Bari), and start to plan for 2016 with a better lead time for the future.
