Don't know whether it is representative (or even significant), but seems to cover the user side -- maybe we should watch this.

> Dear Clouds Standards Group,
>
> You may be interested to know that the Cloud Customer Council is being
> launched on Wednesday this week via a series of analyst meetings. There
> will be a public launch on 13th April at IBM's IMPACT 2011 conference in
> Las Vegas.
>
> The Cloud Customer Council is an end-user advocacy group dedicated to
> accelerating cloud's successful adoption, and drilling down into the
> implementation, developing requirements for standards, security and
> interoperability issues surrounding the transition to the cloud.
>
> This customer-led organization will provide detailed requirements to the
> traditional standards development organisations. Those requirements will
> give guidance to cloud standards efforts and will make customer needs clear
> to vendors in the cloud marketplace. With participation from a variety of
> industries and with implementations examples across cloud service model
> (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), the council is positioned to identify the standards
> gaps in hybrid and heterogeneous cloud solutions. While some standards
> groups focus on specific aspects of cloud computing, this group will focus
> on the broad set of requirements and interaction between service layers,
> the data centre, and deployment models (public/private clouds). In pulling
> together this holistic view of an open cloud, it is much more aligned with
> real world customer requirements.
>
> The web site should go live shortly.
>
> If you have any questions, please let me know, and I'll make sure they get
> answered after the formal launch.
>
> Regards,
