I just phoned Jeroen. We had a misunderstanding on terminology.

I meant to say that:
It is not necessary (and often undesirable) to describe edge devices to
describe an abstracted view of a domain.

Jeroen was saying:
It must be possible to describe end nodes (terminating devices of a
path) within an abstracted domain view.
