Minutes from the INFOD conference call on Monday, March 17th, 2008 @ 4
pm EDT:

Participants: Andras, Aravind, Dieter, Raghul, Ming
Apologies: Akos, Arjun, Ronny

Discussions

    * Publishers and Data Sources define property vocabulary instances,
consumers and subscribers define constraints on publishers and
data sources. In a use case as in sensor network, a sensor could
either be a publisher or a data source, meaning certain sensors
can be independent; and a few of them clustered to be a part of
the single publisher and have property vocabulary instances
associated with data source entry's. When defining a constraint
the consumer needs to know if the sensor property vocabulary
instances are associated to a publisher or a data source, and
define publisher constraints or data source constraints
respectively. In the hierarchical model, the data sources can
inherent some properties from the publisher or not. It was
concluded to keep it simple, with the use case implementation
bound to one kind of relationship, for example in the above use
case, register all sensors as data sources.
    * The discussion of INFOD use case was rescheduled for the next
call. Dieter discussed on sending messages to consumers with the
help of service providers of GPS, messaging services, where the
message received would be based on the event and the properties of
      the consumer.

The next conference call will be on Monday, March 24th @ 4 pm EDT.

Regards

Raghul
