Minutes from the INFOD conference call on Thursday, September 20 2007 @

Discussions:

    * *Report about UTK activities*
          o The basic first responder use case will be formalized in the
            next few days
          o Subscriptions need more flexibility.
                + Scenario: Chemical sensors as publishers, the whether
                  service as publisher and the plum modeling service as
                  consumer of sensor and whether information and also as
                  publishers for directive to first responders.
                + Todays solutions: S1: A subscription to get
                  information from chemical sensors to the plum modeling
                  service. S2: A subscription to get whether data for
                  the location of all chemical sensors to the plum
                  modeling service. S3. A (fake) subscription to get a
                  publisher  notification to the whether service listing
                  all current sensors.
                + Problem: S2 and S3 are related to each other - this is
                  a private protocol between the subscriber and the
                  whether service
                + Solution: Extend subscriptions - see Extended
                  Specifications for a proposal

                + Extended specifications, some ideas - Dieter - 30 minutes
          o The first working session on Thursday will be dedicated to
            an in depth discussion of the SensorNet project - Raghul, Arjun.
          o The second working session on Thursday is focused on a gap
            analysis for R-GMA and SensorNet  - Steve, Arjun.
          o The third working session on Thursday is focused on the
            extended specifications - Dieter.

          o A short explanation about the reason for the proposed
            interface for subscription to meta data.
