Minutes from the INFOD conference call on Thursday, September 13 2007 @ 
8 am PDT:

Participants:  Arjun, Dieter, Raghul and Ronny

Discussions:

    * *Report about UTK activities*
          o The creation of an application has been started; it deals
            with sensor reading, plume modeling and notification of
            first responders. An important task is the precise
            definition of the vocabularies.
          o There was a long discussion about determining the responders
            to an incident based on dynamic property constraints for
            consumers. Capturing the up-to-date location of each first
            responder in the INFOD registry would most likely create a
            bottleneck. One could keep up-to-date location information
            in memory and have the dynamic property constraint point to
            that information. The publisher would have to query that
            information once an incident has been identified and the
            required action - based on location - has been determined.
            It was also mentioned that cell phone companies and VOIP
            providers already have to deal with this problem on a very
            large scale. So, we should try to understand their solutions.
          o Arjun will participate in the 3rd event symposium in Orlando
            (FL) and present SensorNet as a use case.
