Minutes from the INFOD conference call on Thursday, August 9 2007 @ 8 am

Discussions:

    * *Report about UTK activities*
          o Work on processing constraints continues
    * *Action items*:
          o For the latest status please refer to /INFOD Current
            Actions/ in the /Current Drafts/ folder
    * *Review of John Huh's paper - based on Ronny's input*
          o Went through the comments provided by the INFOD members.
            They were largely accepted and John has already incorporated
            some.
          o Identified one point made by Aravind which focuses on the
            scalability and performance for dynamic workloads (frequent
            subscription modifications).
          o Suggestion is for John to look into possibility to separate
            the applicability of matching algorithms where workloads are
            more predictable and less changing. This would perhaps be
            the case when evaluating datasources against existing
            subscriptions. Since this is for one publisher, the
            subscription is changing less often.
          o The registry matching algorithm however will have to deal
            with very frequent subscription changes where John’s
            algorithm might not be as suitable.
          o John to evaluate impact and report his findings next week.
          o This will determine weather he will present at OGF or not in
            Seattle.
