Sorry for the late notice, with the Oracle release winding down, I have been extremely busy. Here are the two things that I promised for todays conference call:

Also, regarding transformations with consumption, here is a non replication example:

Let's assume that there are n consumers associated with n subscriptions, so there is a 1-1 correspondence between the subscribers and consumers. Please note that in true generality that may not be the case. Assume m < n consumers are interested in a data (d) (for which all consumers are eligible) presented through the application of a transform t. Since the consumer information is maintained through a registry, t is known apriori, so the right way to design this would be to create a copy of t(d)  cache it, give it to the m consumers either through push or a pull mechanism. The cached info. is freed when all consumers have consumed the info. Hope this clarifies. - Shailendra
