PROJECT GUTENBERG NEEDS YOU!!!

Today Project Gutenberg celebrates the addition of the 16,000th eBook
at http://www.gutenberg.org

We need your help to continue this effort that has placed these eBook
files online for free download since the dawn of the Internet.

We need books, proofreaders, editors, and super-editors to create the
final eBook files from efforts of the volunteers who have gotten such
books through the processes of copyright research, scanning, proofing
and all the other essential work necessary to create a decent eBook.

We also need your financial support, which is tax deductible for most
of the United States. Sorry, we don't know much about tax deductions
in other countries, but there are now Project Gutenberg's outside the
United States, namely in: Australia, Europe, Portugal and Canada, as
well as a new one starting in The Philippines.

Project Gutenberg is the oldest continuing presence on the Internet--
having placed the first eBook/eText online on July 4, 1971.

Please help us continue this effort to give eBooks in a permanent way
to anyone who wants them, within the scope of relevant copyright law.
Project Gutenberg eBooks differ from Google Print Books in that these
books are yours to keep and are constantly being proofread, both by a
small army of volunteers, and by you, our readers. Each working day,
on the average, we provide a newly corrected edition of some previous
eBook, as well as over 10 new eBook editions per week.
