Dear GSM-CG members,

We've just had our GSM-CG session. As usual, the content of the
session depends on who shows up.

We usually have an introduction: it is recycled from previous
sessions, so some bits are a bit crusty, but then I explain in words
what has changed. (I do change the presentation from time to time but
I always forget something.)

Then I had left the agenda open to (a) discuss the group roadmap
(including the chair/secretary question, but that is mainly one to
discuss with the ADs), (b) look at community stuff, and (c) look at
technical nitty gritty stuff.

We ended up talking about something entirely different - mostly about
the role of grids and data management, and how to implement service
provision - in the sense of composing tape services with disk, how
user manage data, interactions with higher level services and GLUE.
The focus was mainly on gLite/OSG, where SRM fits, but also talking
about generic issues such as file/datasets and coping with failures
both in hardware and in services (eg catalogue/SE sync.) We somehow
not only used the full time, but even ran 10-15 minutes late, and they
were still focused discussions.

Thanks
