[gin] Another GIN recollection for SC10

I'd forgotten that we also discussed having an eye-candy application that
use the file staging extensions. The example was a movie renderer.  I have a
grad student who just did this using blender and a short movie.  Dave W. I
think you suggested Mosaic. Is that correct? Do you have a movie in mind?
