Erwin:
We periodically test interoperability across the SRB data grid
federation. At any point in time, one of the remote data grids may
be inaccessible for a variety of reasons. Over time, we do see each
data grid on a continuing basis.
Wayne Schroeder at SDSC has been leading an effort to port the SRM
interface on top of a SRB data grid. Wayne's actions include:
- meeting with Eric Yen and Wei-Lung of Academia Sinica to discuss
development of an SRM interface to SRB. They are interested in
getting our/my help in
planning how to implement this; coming up with an implementation plan
and schedule.
- meeting with Abhishek Singh Rana <rana at fnal.gov>, who works with
Frank Wuerthwein on SRM authentication software for UCSD, to discuss
SRM authentication questions for the SRM-SRB project. I've forwarded
a paper of theirs to Wei-Lung who appreciated it. Note that Frank
works on the Open Science Grid.
