[gfs-wg] Telcon summary - 8/29/06

Here is the summary of the GFS-Telecom on 8/29/06. The Telecon was mostly
about planning on a TO_DO list on "What is to be done" after the GGF-18.

1) GFS Profile (Work to be done)
   a. Identify the GFS standard descriptions 
	or data types that will be required?
   b. What GFS-operations needed (apart from RNS spec)
   c. What is the role of "iterator" data type in GFS? 
	What is its XML description? 
	Is there an external standard for this?
   d. What operations can be performed on "iterator"
   e.  How do we handle ACLs?
   F. Implementations of the Profile	
2) GFS Architecture (Work to be done)
   a. Work on a new version of  the Architecture workbook 
   b. Explain the problem scope we are working on 
	(so that new people to Grid can join 
	without having to go through lot of terminology)
   c. What are the requirements of GFS
   d. What are the other related standards?
	 how does GFS provide a symbiotic collaboration
	 with other data storage standards
   e. What is the relationship (if any) between GFS and:
	SNIA XAM, IETF NFSv4, other GGF standards. 
   f. What is the single interface that the users and 
	vendors can expect for GFS
3) ACTION items
   a. ARUN: Find the tracker for the standardization of RNS 
   b. Speaker from the user community at the GGF-18
