[fi-rg] Status and current work

Hi @all,

I like to inform you of the current status and topics we are working on. Currently we are collecting requirements and (existing and upcoming) solutions for firewall issues for our next documents. Therefore we are using our wiki! And currently we have already some upcoming solutions described: 

    * High speed firewalls
    * Load balancing firewalls
    * Dynamic Firewall 1: Dyna-Fire
    * Dynamic Firewall 2: Cooperative On-Demand Opening
    * Dynamic Firewall 3: Generic Connection Brokering
    * Dynamic Firewall 4: UDP Hole Punching
    * Application Level Gateway / Proxies 

Currently we are contacting the people who worked on this topics. Still we need to work on the requirements emerging for the first document. And if we forgot about any other other upcoming/existing solution for firewall issue feel free to describe it at:

After we collected all these informations we want to do a first review to look which descriptions will make it into (which) document. I already want to say thanks to the people who helped filling the wiki with information!

We have also a telcon about all this planned in near future - informationen will be spread as usual :-)
