Dear colleagues,

The dsa-research group (author of the widely used Globus GridWay
Metascheduler) has released a Technology Preview of the OpenNEbula
(ONE) Virtual Infrastructure Engine. OpenNEbula transforms a physical
cluster into a flexible virtual infrastructure which dynamically
adapts to the changing demands of a service workload.

Cluster administrators will find relevant its support for on-demand
resource provisioning, Cluster consolidation, Cluster partitioning or
heterogeneous workloads. Please see the "On-demand Scaling of
Computing Clusters" use case at http://www.OpenNEbula.org/doku.php?id=documentation

Regards,

Ignacio M. Llorente

The dsa-research group (http://dsa-research.org) is pleased to
announce that a Technology Preview of the OpenNEbula (ONE) Virtual
Infrastructure Engine is available for download under the terms of the
Apache License, Version 2.0. ONE enables the dynamic deployment and
re-allocation of virtual machines on a pool of physical resources, so
extending the benefits of existing virtualization platforms from a
single physical resource to a pool of resources, decoupling the server
not only from the physical infrastructure but also from the physical
location.

The Technology Preview supports the Xen Hypervisor to provide an
initial look at the features and capabilities of OpenNEbula.
