[ ] M1457796 ) Interoperability of OGF DRMAA Standard Becomes Official
The extension of interoperability for the OGF software standard on job
submission and control for distributed resource management (DRM)
systems was published recently.
The documents on Condor, Grid Engine and GridWay (available from
<http://www.ogf.org/gf/docs/?public_comment>) showcase precisely that
all OGF base grid operations requested by the DRMAA specifications
working group can reasonably be implemented with any DRM middleware of
that kind.
The experience document's public comments phase is the last step for
the DRMAA specification to become the Open Grid Forum recommendation
on application programming interfaces for middleware software systems
as versatile and widespread as Altair PBS Pro, Platform LSF, Apple
Xgrid, Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server, Sun's N1 Grid Engine
and many others.
