Dan,

SAGA has a different scope than DRMAA. It supports a remote job
execution over Grids, Globus in particular. To support that well they
had to considerably enhance what DRMAA covers with support for files (
Physical Files (short: Files), Logical Files (or Replicas), and consten
of Information Service (short: Adverts)), streams, security, etc.

Whenever convenient they have adopted DRMAA and JSDL stuff as evident
from their strawman or current API draft.
Their attributes are JSDL attributes. Their execution API is similar or
almost the same as DRMAAs.

Regards
Hrabri
