[DAIS-WG] DAIS Specifications Published

I am pleased to be able to pass on the news that the three Data Access 
and Integration Services specifications have been published as 
Provisional Recommendations:

GFD.74: M. Antonioletti, M. Atkinson, A. Krause, S. Laws, S. Malaika, N. 
Paton, D. Pearson, G. Riccardi, Web Services Data Access and Integration 
– The Core (WS-DAI) Specification, Version 1.0.

GFD.75: M. Antonioletti, S. Hastings, A. Krause, S. Langella, S. Lynden, 
S. Laws, S. Malaika, N. Paton, Web Services Data Access and Integration 
– The XML Realization (WS-DAIX) Specification, Version 1.0.

GFD.76: M. Antonioletti, B. Collins, A. Krause, S. Laws, J. Magowan, S. 
Malaika, N. Paton. Web Services Data Access and Integration – The 
Relational Realisation (WS-DAIR) Specification, Version 1.0.

The specifications themselves are available from:

In addition, an informational document that describes the proposed 
interoperability testing approach for the specifications has also just 
been formally published:

GFD.77: S. Lynden, N. Paton, D. Pearson, Interoperability Testing for 
DAIS Working Group Specifications.

This collection of documents represents the result of contributions from 
many people, in addition to the named authors, over a four year period. 
Thanks are thus due to the many who have contributed to this process, 
and thus helped to bring into being the first standardised interfaces 
for service-based access to databases.
