   Ruby Ridge was the site of an eleven-day [2]siege in 1992
   in [3]Boundary County, [4]Idaho, near [5]Naples. It began on August 21,
   when deputies of the [6]United States Marshals Service (USMS) initiated
   action to apprehend and arrest [7]Randy Weaver under a bench warrant
   after his [8]failure to appear on firearms charges. Weaver refused to
   surrender, and members of his immediate family, and family friend Kevin
   Harris, resisted as well. The [9]Hostage Rescue Team of the [10]Federal
   Bureau of Investigation (FBI HRT) became involved as the siege
   developed.
