Well, it seems obvious to me that they flew to high and accidentally
   escaped gravity.
   I think it's extra likely with Bitcoin wanting to go to the moon all
   the time, and there is a lot of MtGox Bitcoins that aren't "gone, just
   temporarily unavailable at the moment". This explains everything
   perfectly for me. I'm sure the passengers will be very happy to have
   gone so far with such cheap tickets.
