The Department of Justice will pay $138.7 million to settle 139 tort claims
accusing the Federal Bureau of Investigation of not doing enough to stop
the sprawling, decades-long sexual abuse of hundreds of victims at the
hands of USA Gymnastics physician Larry Nassar, according to a Wednesday
announcement.
