anyway! here's an example table:

in this example table, the resulting state is usually noncorrelated
with the preceding state. it   is usually just true, apparently on its
own. but maybe not always!

here's another:

I O

1 0

here, the preceding state is inversely correlated with the following.
but maybe not always!

and here:

0 0
1 1

the preceding state determines the following.
