who is john mcafee and what about everyone else

i used wayback to see part of the walled article and it sounded
intense! it mentioned john mcafee burying himself in sand with a
cardboard box around his head, scared he would be killed by corrupt
authorities -  then the javascript kicked in and walled the rest of
the article. i’m on mobile atm hard to disable.

i didn’t find copies of the article on other venues, so i was thinking
i could sign up for bloomberg so as to pirate their articles to
respect open access

it was notable that the article was dated 2012 but i only found the
url back into the 2020s i guess it makes the most sense that the site
changed its url format at some point
