it’s notable how useful web3 updates would really help people
interested in using blockchain and similar technology effectively

a problem is that different groups seem to have established different
uses of the term web3 — it may be used for example, for only a local
ecosystem of technology

still, i imagine there are bloggers and such out there who walk the
different communities and report back.

things that seem really helpful are useful technologies that are new,
or becoming popular, or becoming standard across systems/communities.
