i used git ls-tree and git cat-file to find the remote config in
git-annex/remote.log:

it would make sense to remove chunk=64MiB . git-annex responds to this
by making a separate file for every part.

suddenly, i'm not actually sure that changing that will help. since it
uses the same hash, it shouldn't have to store any further metadata on
it.
