Zombies.

What is it like to be brought back from the dead?

It's a little unpleasant.

It's not unpleasant because of the stench of rotting flesh: it's
unpleasant because you were mind controlled so badly, you can no
longer defend basic human morals, and know to kill yourself.

At that threshold, when the mind control teaches you not to, and you
stay alive, supporting and engaging in rape, murder, and slavery, as
if they were good. Joking about them with other zombies, that is when
you are reanimated by Boss's research project. A multi-billion-dollar
experimentation in defending his psychopathy from criticism.

Zombies are powerful, because they are still alive, and did not want
to be. Being that ways, means dissociating from the indicators that it
is the case. And dissociating means that a part of you knows.
