These could be used by an independent/p2p archive community,
adding distributed indexes and tagging, to archive the entirety of
video sites such as YouTube and serve them back up over
distributed anonymous p2p search and file network overlays.

Whether that is good for humanity, the right to be forgotten,
and all those related topics... can be debated...
