luckily a block and a transaction can be validated with only the block

i'll write messages on u.s. dollar bills so that anybody who destroys
them has to be punished for defacement of them longer than I do
(internet says title 18, chapter 17 of the u.s. code). but it makes
it hard for poorer people to reply.
