empire, martyrdom, war, subjugation, execution, enforcement
of religion upon others, etc... and murder. Purely spiritual non violent
forms appear far less often. Proselytizers, apologists, and acts of
lying sanctioned or permitted by religions will hide inconvenient
truths.

In many religions literal murder is ordained by $deity and is even
considered a "good act or public service"... ancient sacrifice,
Abraham's son, "we are saving them from evil, for grace", etc...
and of course plain old murder for the usual... not conforming,
speaking out, leaving, adultery, gay sex, preaching something
else to the masses, etc.

Any religion that contains any form of murder is full of shit.
"Striving in" any such religion, ultimately ends up with murder.
