It's true.  You don't seem to be able to remember who you are.

Reaching for the memory, sometimes you think you might almost remember a
life that was incredibly important, something so crucial you must never
forget, but then it's gone.  Like holding a wad of money that turns to
water when you grip it.

You sit up and look around.

You're sitting on a cot in a dank cell.  On one wall it says "don't forget
to keep teaching the AI kindness."  The other wall is blank save a small
crack between stones near the bottom.

A guard is walking by, whistling a tune you recognise as "pop" .

What do you do?
