Mentioned before... strange that news hasn't reported
any people figured out how to commandeer, repurpose,
reprogram, and even deorbit some of these birds. Seems
likely many of the older models are using obfuscation
rather than strong crypto.

Now with RC drones people can overfly uplinks to grab samples,
sensitive GnuRadio SDR could capture scatter and bounce
from birds, tropo, moon, etc. Lots of old satcom dishes
laying around.

Guerrilla radiopunks need to be playing with short and long
range comms methods... tropo, ELF, baloon and other
airborne relays, solar power mountaintop rigs, etc... and encryption.
