in the movie Brazil, one of my favorite characters is the friendly
neighbor as torturer, just doing his job. after all, these people
he is torturing for information are all terrorists!

the baby face he wears while dismantling people is somehow extra
barbaric; as if to make a mockery of innocence
 - in the torturor's chair your culpability and fate are sealed...

i find the FBI's disruption strategies to be equally barbaric -
 there is no judicial basis for them, and their intent is to
 entirely destroy your life. employment, friends, family, home,
 all of it.
