They were created by Democrats - hence, during the 2008 post mortems,
the reluctance of the Democrats to inquire how the money was pissed
away, and the interest of the Republicans in inquiring what happened to
the money.  There was a party line vote on 2008 Financial Crisis Inquiry
 Report, which the Republicans lost and the Democrats won.
