Is there a Howto or treatise/ paper on how such things "should" work?

Do they involve an adjudicating authority, and are such things only
agreed prior to (assuming written) contract engagement?

Good education, rather than schooling to create good employees, might
go a long way to inculcating and otherwise manifesting higher
intentions in 'the average human'.

We also need to get orf the hampster mill ... member the Fed;
little space for 'the average human' to put mind into gear and body
into action in pursuit of those higher intentions otherwise.
