	yeah my "longman's dictionary of contemporary english" 1990 says the same thing. But it does have a second definition : 

	"2. tech or euph : the division into male or female, sex"

	soooo - what does euphemism mean? mr longman again : 

	"the use of a pleasanter, less direct name for something thought to be unpleasant".
