But if anything, people need to be told what NOT to do. Like, don't go around murdering people in the name of 'property' like Jim Bell is proposing. 

Yes it is often important to identify what not to do. If someone does
not see a cliff they are walking towards, it may be useful to their
continued existence if someone lets them know there's a cliff in
front of them.
