The theory is that the "low ball" "easy/soft targets" are being
thrown to the (media and citizen lynch mob) wolves in the hope to
defuse the true depth of depravity going on behind the scenes.

If this be true, the real possibility is that more and more folks
will speak out about whatever they consider to be abuse.

Sanity demands to distinguish between "has been actors craving
the limelight" for example, from genuine abuse.
