Of course, that obvious engineering should be considered...
any degree of heat causes progressive degree of weakness
in metals and other materials such as concrete. The links
in this thread should direct science not bogus armchair analysis.
Ref color temperature vs. 8x'th floor liquid flow out the windows
and ground zero glowing/dripping/molten excavations. And evaluation
as to 'secondary explosions' and 'liquid glowing metal'. That will be
hard to prove out without investigation and non-leading interviews,
let alone 15 years later. Respecting those evidences, really don't have
opinion on that, or time. And frankly, once initiated, tubular pancaking
makes physical science sense. It's the initiate that people question.
Was the basement structure / etc cut? If the 'lobby' blew, why
didn't floors 2, 3, 5, 10... etc. I've no idea, you decide.
