That's schist. It's a lot like what's called "Chert" in California.

It isn't. It crumbles when you touch it, and Schist is mica-based. It
does melt under heat and pressure and liquefy, and it's layered into the
mud.

There is no bedrock below 14th st. It was Peter Stuyvesant's sheep graze
and oyster mud flats.

This is what I mean about the total ignorance and twisting of facts to
match their non-reality by 'truthers'
