NNCP -- store-and-forward E2EE F2F network building utilities

Tried to compile, and I get, among other things, a whole bunch of:

ar: `u' modifier ignored since `D' is the default (see `U')

and at the end:

common.mk:48: recipe for target 'nncp-mail' failed
make: *** [nncp-mail] Error 2

This is on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Can anyone else reproduce this error?
