[OT] [song] Seasons of Love + Samba da Benção

Wish you all a happy 2017 and a lovely life!  Lots and lots of happy new
years, full of love, good life projects and happy endings...  <3

I know some people here will think "Seasons Of Love" is 'cheesy' or it
sucks, but this is one of my favorite songs and I think it has a good
message about measuring the years of our lives.

Live long and prosper.  And sincerely try to be happy.  I am not asking to
ignore all the fuckups in the whole world, it's impossible, but to manage
them and their effects in the best possible way, trying to live well, with
serenity, with less hate, anger, bad feelings in your heart...  :)

There is a lovely Brazilian song, a beautiful musical poem named 'Samba da
Benção'  ('Blessing Samba' or 'Blessed Samba?  I don't know the best
translation in this case, sorry!)  which begins with the verses  "É melhor
ser alegre que ser triste / Alegria é a melhor coisa que existe / É assim
como a luz no coração"  ("It's better to be happy than to be sad /
Happiness is the best thing that exists / It's like a light in the
heart").  It's true!  :)

This version by Vinicius de Moraes is pretty sweet.  I love Vinicius.  As
he says in the poem, he was "the blackest white man in the Brazil" and
talks about happyness, sadness, love, "saudade", and pay tribute to the
African Gods and the black origins of samba, one of most famous Brazilian
musical styles.
