Why I just left reddit.

Danka schön

Was pressed to create a #shitter account about 6 years - never logged
into it.

apt-cache search twitter seems to show a few apps for twitter

Email is sort of conducive to actual conversations.

FaceSlut, which I did try using for about 3 weeks (then promptly stopped
when I realised a) being so addicted was not useful b) I only new less
than half my Faceslut "friends" and c) three weeks of that experience
was, ah, enough. And then shitter came out with even more ephemeral,
less substance, and so the intention to avoid it ever since continued in
like manner to FriendSlut.

Is microblogging actually useful for anything? Is it conduce to
conversations, to receiving headline news at least 15 seconds before my
favourite alt-news website, or to making a cup of coffee for me?

Finally, does it cross-microblog with the behemeth in the virtual room,
#shitter ?

The real question is whether there is a decent transition plan to
encourage normies to get off their proprietary addictions onto something
better, freer, with rainbows and kicking savannah Gnus attached?

Many questions, not many answers yet...

:)
