You can't 'steal' ideas except in the narrow sense of trying to convince everyone that you invented an idea first even when you know
you took it from someone else.  Or in using ideas in a way that require a license, like patents.  Philosophy isn't patentable, so
unless she insisted that no one else had thought of a particular idea, that kind of statement seems childish.

Now, if you want to use 'steal' in the weak sense, that it would have been better if a different take would have become more
popular, that's fine.  That's 'stealing the limelight'.  That's some combination of luck and lack of skill.  She had some roughness,
but she wrote reasonably readable stories, so she won to some extent.  Write your own more compelling stories.

But "why should rand get to write" is odd.  Anyone can write whatever story they want, minus directly stealing characters etc.
