When Luka CEO Eugenia Kuyda's best friend Roman Mazurenko died, she
populated a neural network to create a bot that mimicked his speech
patterns.

"What if it didn't sound like him?

What if it did?"

=====

Sorry for more OT posts, but some people here will love this text, very
interesting and human. It's about love and technology.

Still crying a lot and laughing at same time. Many years ago, when my
fiancé died, I asked to all the IT engineers who I knowed if it would be
possible. I wanted him back so deeply... I wanted back all the poetry and
the music with all my heart and soul.

His best friend, an engineer like him, said that it _never_ would be
possible. He was wrong. It _is_ possible, but I never wanted a bot
pretending to be him. A bot never will write me sincere poetry about love
and sea. I simply wanted him back...
