You will be forced to remove them, just like you must remove
your full hijab, clown suit, etc... and jailed if enumeration and
control is required by the state. Or denied service by all parties
and sent away to live as an outcast / illegal if it isn't. If that doesn't
work for you, you can always  marry someone rich and live off them,
or at least shack up if the state demands ID to marry.

Less than 80 years and a few generations ago, most places
there was no such thing as ID, let alone needed or required.
Pretty fucked up.
